On the 16th of January, 2019, Aia Masarwe was brutally raped and murdered and her body was left in the bushlands of the Polaris shopping centre in Bundoora, a Northern suburb of Melbourne in Australia.
We were immediately moved by this incident and strived to help prevent this from happening again but not just in Australia, around the world.
Leelou is a force keeping people safer anywhere, anytime by always being there to provide immediate personal protection so we have the freedom to live as we choose.
Aia Mode is an extension of an already incredible smart phone technology; when in distress simply press the SOS button and up to 5 of your scrutinized guardians will respond to your call 24/7. It instantly records, sends and streams an audio of your situation at the press of the SOS button along with GPS coordinates and battery so help can get to you fast! Leelou also overrides the silent mode on your phone to provide certainty of all alerts.
Aia mode is the next level in personal safety, when a user feels vulnerable, using the Aia Mode, press and hold and if you feel worried, release the button and an SOS will be immediately initiated.
This feature is in memory of Aia who sadly left us way too early in life at only 21 years old as an international student from Palestine.
Everyone should feel safe and is a right, not a privilege; to that end, Leelou and Aia Mode is free.
